at the margheria dell'Alpe you reach Passo della Mezzaluna (1454m a.s.l.), one of the historic passes of the Province of Imperia, which acts as a link between the Rezzo Valley, the Upper Argentina Valley, the Monesi Valley and the Empire. In prehistoric times it was a meeting place for the people of the valleys for the livestock market. Witness of this period the numerous sacrificial altars and some still visible menhirs. For the rest today it is a typical Ligurian alpine pasture, with a view that reaches the sea!
