The Roman theater must once have been an imposing structure. You can walk around and see everything up close. Further promising excavations are still taking place at the site today. A kind of permanently mounted binoculars shows the viewer an overlaid image of the ruins, in which one can see the former building. Incidentally, from here you have a wonderful view of Avenches' medieval ski line.
