The path along the Elbe from Blankenese towards Wedel is rarely crowded, even on weekends; therefore suitable for relaxation.
However, I have a few comments: The cover photo does not belong to Blankenese. It shows the Wittenbergen lower light, which belongs to the Tinsdal upper light.
Before you go this route you should find out about the tide on the BSH website. Around high water, some parts of the beach are relatively narrow and sometimes overcrowded or cannot be used; the alternative on the street is not so recommended. There is always plenty of space in the 2-3 hours around low tide. However, you shouldn't be afraid of wet feet or shoes.
Visiting time: All year round. Even in winter or when it is windy. The rule applies: "There is no such thing as bad weather, there is only the wrong clothing!"

Here, in fact, Blankenese and Rissen were thrown together with Wittenbergen. It's a shame, because that leads to confusion!

There is a lot to see on the Elbe, from kayaks to giant containers
