There were probably a particularly large number of these stone crosses in Oelsnitz, but they disappeared after the town fire in 1859 along with the narrow streets when the streets were redesigned.
Our last Oelsnitz stone crosses are probably around 400 years old. You can find them in front of St. Jakobikirche.
