View from the Bergfried Tower at Voigtsberg Castle

You have a great view from the top of the tower and there are stools to sit on. Entry costs 2€ for adults and 1€ for children and only 10€ for groups of 10 people. Highly recommended 👍

View of the Ore Mountains

The climb to the 31 meter high tower involves 123 steps.

As part of construction work in 2021/22, the tower was raised by 6 meters and received a viewing platform.

The 360-degree panoramic view extends from Plauen-Oberlosa to the mountain ranges around Schöneck.

Exhibition rooms and a viewing platform are integrated into the tower.

In the lower area the keep looks as it was probably created 775 years ago. At the top, the new viewing platform is dominated by smooth concrete, lots of glass and metal.

Several nesting boxes for different species of birds are built into the tower.

Up to 12 visitors are allowed on the tower at the same time.
