Built in 1690 at the behest of the priest Bartolomeo Bruno on his return from the Holy Land, the Sanctuary stands in a suggestive and panoramic area to the west of Porto Maurizio, surrounded by majestic cypresses on the top of the hill since then known as Monte Calvario. In 1706 it passed to the Confraternity of the SS. Trinity which had as its main purpose the ransom of the sailors enslaved by the pirates. One of the most beautiful views of Porto Maurizio, especially at dawn.
