The castle dates back to the 16th century and is one of the most important historic buildings in Wolfsburg. It used to be a moated castle that could only be entered via two bridges. After all, a bridge and a moat have been reconstructed today, so you can imagine what it used to look like. On the ground floor is the Hoffmann-von-Fallersleben-Museum, where you can learn all about the life of the poet and children's songwriter as well as the history of German poetry.

Very nice little castle with immediately adjacent, other old village center and buildings. The tower is reminiscent of the castle from Brome.
