Around Hude Square, in the Heiligengeist district, you can still experience medieval Oldesloe. The town's oldest buildings are located here. At the confluence of the Trave and Beste rivers, there was once even a small harbor. The watery paths still characterize the historic old town center today. While strolling through the pedestrian zone in the city center, it's worth taking a detour into the small side streets.
