Cycling

The Little Chapel is a Guernsey favourite - it was created in July 1914 by Brother Deodat, who planned to create a miniature version of the grotto and basilica at Lourdes. It is only 5 metres (16 ft) long and 3 metres (9.8 ft) wide! It is largely covered in seashells and is a major tourist attraction in the Island.

The chapel is very touching and so is the story behind it. But be careful, sometimes it's packed here. Better visit in the morning or evening and hurry away when a busload of cruise tourists arrives!

Hiking

One of the island's major visitor magnets, so it's better to come back another time when it's very crowded!

The beautiful little chapel with the small circular path is best enjoyed in peace and with some time to admire the infinitely many details..

Only a few people fit inside anyway. If you're lucky and it's quiet right now, it's a wonderful place to pause, say a prayer - or just marvel.

Outside there are benches for a break and the opportunity to donate some money for the upkeep of the chapel.
