"A great project has only recently appeared, which is called the Bernina Railway and includes the connection between Samaden and Tirano as well as a junction for Pontresina and St. Moritz Summer months are very good, but this time is a bit too short, so that it will hardly be possible to find the many millions (10) required, whereas there can be no doubt that after the opening of the Albula Railway, the first part of the Bernina Railway, the Samaden-Pontresina junction, will soon find a contractor and will be built."
