From Gutach a really challenging but nice climb. From Oberprechtal steep but short. Those who want to avoid cars, looking for the Black Forest crossing a slightly less traveled pass. Still much better than the Heidburg (B 294), but known to many drivers as a faster alternative.

Road cycling

Crunchy climb from Prechtal, but with a wonderful view above. In the direction of Gutach it is almost level with the forest and the descent down to the Gutach valley is a pleasure - but be careful, some of the curves do not quite match the speed that can be reached quickly on the sometimes lush gradient.
