From 1896 everyone could read the time on the tower clock with the "Marienblue" dial and the gold-colored hands. However, the clock had to be wound up on time; the pastor and sexton had to climb 65 steps every day. In 1963 the clock became electric and the bells could be rung at the push of a button.
