'De Hoop' in the Frisian town of Workum is a shipyard founded in 1693, located near the lock.Joinery "De Hoop" was founded in 1693 by Juntien Reijnders next to the already existing locks in Workum. He had the carpenter's shed built, which at the time could produce bights (manufacturing) and sleeves. The quay was renovated in the 19th century and restored in the 1970s. The complex consists of a dwelling, a hanging shed, a carpentry shop and a shipyard. During its existence, mainly wooden fishing vessels were built at the shipyard.
