Reformed Church Tschiertschen
The church from the 14th century is a defining part of the historic village center.
The church from the 14th century is located in the middle of Tschiertschen and is an important part of the historic village center. The church of Tschiertschen houses special gems: the precious organ and wall paintings from the 15th century. The organ in the Tschiertschen church is one of the last and also largest of the so-called Toggenburg house organs. There are two angels on the organ, which were probably added by a local carver and are popularly known as "bad pants angels". The wall paintings date from the 15th century, when the church was built. These wall paintings were only uncovered during renovation work in 2012.
