It is a loading silo of a gravel washing plant that operated at this location until the mid-1960s (as far as I know, Riepenhoff).

It is not a loading station, but an old anti-aircraft position from World War II. Empty cartridge cases fell into the hoppers to be melted down and used to make new cartridges. The anti-aircraft position served to protect the military facility.
