Schausend has the northernmost marina of the German Baltic Sea coast. In 1974 - after the construction of a planned by an investor Grand Marina with 500 moorings failed - by a community of interests of the water sports club Nautic e. V. founded and called Club Nautic for short. In 1976, the yacht Schusten was built by Club Nautic e.V.
