Copper was mined here in the 17th and 18th centuries, some of which was bound to quartz lenses in Cambrian mica schists. Scattered pings in the forest around the church of St. Nikolaus and heaps near the stream and a buried tunnel mouth with water outlet are preserved as evidence of mining. On the heaps vein quartz with small quartz crystals and brown iron can be found.
Looks bad now due to felling wood.
