The wetland is not accessible to Fietser; for a short while we also crawl over sandy tracks; visit the Turfstekerspad memorial, which commemorates the peat cutters who worked here as forced labourers; so we language idiots assume it in any case, because the entire area is called Vesting (Fortress) Vossenberg and reminds of the German occupation and the liberation fights in 1945.
