Many horses and cows in the area were able to quench their thirst at this former drinking trough until the 1930s.
Originally, the drinking trough was a natural rock hollow fed by a spring and surface water.
The overflowing water was routed via channels above ground on the left side of the road to the Felsenweiher 200 m away.
After World War II the Pärdsboar was destroyed and filled up. The spring house was built in the 1970s and the gullies were returned to their original location for viewing. Below the gully, pipes were laid into the pond.
In 2014, the drinking trough was deepened down to the bedrock and a protective wall was erected.
Because of the general decline in water, the opposite spring in the "Bornwiese" was also connected to the Pärdsboar by pipes under the road.
