A little further along our path, we reached the small Chapel of St. Pirmin. Its origins date back to before 1159, and in the 13th century, it was rebuilt along with a hermitage. Count John V of Wiltz had the present sanctuary built in 1653, which is distinguished by its unusual octagonal shape and slender tower. After the Chapel of St. Pirmin was badly damaged by fire in 1714, it became the property of the Kaundorf parish in 1799. Since 1973, the association "Les Amis de Saint Pirmin" has lovingly cared for the preservation of this important site. The Chapel of St. Pirmin has been an important place of pilgrimage in the region for centuries.
