To the right of the bridge on the castle island is the museum harbor.
“The Wolgast museum harbor, which opened in 1997, is located in the southern part of the so-called castle island in the Peenestrom. It is one of the few of its kind in Germany and is no longer used for regular shipping. The railway ferry “Stralsund”, the oldest steam ferry in Europe, is located in the harbor.
Commissioned by the Royal Prussian State Railway in 1890, the ship was initially used for ferry traffic between Stralsund and Altefähr on the island of Rügen. Later, when there was no railway bridge over the Peene, railway wagons were transferred from Wolgast to the island of Usedom. The “Stralsund” has been a listed building since 1986 and was closed on this route in 1990. The ship can be visited.
There are also other historic ships and restored half-timbered houses in the museum harbor, which served as storage facilities, for example.” from wolgast.m-vp.de

Here a beautiful wooden bridge leads over the Peenestrom. From here you also have a fantastic view of the harbor or the old town of Wolgast.
