Hiking

It is not known when the first ores were mined in the Rasselskaute pit. Significant mining of copper and lead ores and mainly ironstone then took place in the 19th century with tunnel operation and underground shafts. After the pit was temporarily shut down due to inflowing water, it revived for a few decades and finally closed in 1963. From this point you have a great view of and over the pit. An information board provides information about the mining tradition of the region.
