The building with the red and white exterior façade, located on the corner of Storchenstrasse and Stadelgasse, is popularly considered to be the oldest house in the city.

In its original form, it was a typical agricultural town house with a living room, barn and stable area. Partially destroyed by fire in 1949, the house was restored in the old painting.
