Ankt Georgen is a district of the city of Freiburg im Breisgau. The community association of Sankt Georgen im Breisgau, formed from the three village communities of Uffhausen, Wendlingen and Sankt Georgen, was independent until March 31, 1938. Sankt Georgen is bordered in the south by Schönberg, which belongs to Ebringen, and in the south-east by the municipality of Merzhausen, to the east by the Freiburg district of Vauban, to the north-east by the district of Haslach and to the north-west by the district of Rieselfeld. In the west, the district boundary to the Tuniberg districts of Tiengen and further north to Opfingen runs in the Mooswald on a line between the Eugen-Keidel thermal baths and the Schlatthöfe. In the southwest, the district borders on the community of Schallstadt.
