Above Saint-Suliac, with a magnificent view of the village and Rance, there is the Oratory of Notre Dame de Grainfollet. It goes back to the time when the fishermen of the village often caught cod for months off the shores of Newfoundland. Disasters were common and many families lost men. It is said that in 1874 the fishermen had praised that if everyone returned unharmed, they would build a sanctuary in honor of Mary on the spot where their wives awaited the arrival of the boats. In 1894, everyone came back and fulfilled this promise.
