From the crest of the Soreda pass you can admire the majesty of the Alpine reliefs. Located at over 2700 meters, the pass can have modest snow accumulations even in summer.

There are many stories and legends about the Passo Soreda. The fact is, the path was used by the people of Ticino for centuries as a crossing to Vals. And while there used to be cows, sheep and goats on the mule track, today we as hikers are amazed. Because the Soreda is a rough stretch of road up into a world where the snow stays around for a long time, even in summer. But this mountain hike is worth every effort, the views and insights into the magnificent high mountain world are phenomenal and you rightly feel proud to stand on top of the ridge and look out into the vastness of the Alps.

After the mule track had fallen into disrepair for decades, work on the Passo Soreda has been going on year after year since 1998. The efforts of the Länta Hut and the SAC to preserve this historic route are impressive. The path sections with scree are always easier to walk on, with markings you can find the right path even in the thickest fog, and where there is exposure there are chains to hold on to.
