Cycling
In the late 19th century, millions of heavy stone blocks were stored here for the construction of the gigantic breakwaters of the port of Zeebrugge. Later, until 1989, the site served as a freight marshalling yard and car storage area. The ground was raised up to five meters with sand from the sea for this purpose.
