Wind is still appreciated in Cherrueix, even though most of the windmills along the coast have lost all their blades. Countless beach sailors provide a fascinating spectacle on the beautiful sandy plain.
Jet "Fête de l'Ail" or garlic festival (July) and various sales points underline the importance of this crop.
