The Junne weir, over 100 years old, is a municipal monument and part of the seven weirs in the Vecht. Fish ladders have been constructed at the weir, allowing fish to overcome the difference in height. The innovative locks at Junne and Mariënberg make the Vecht navigable again from Zwolle to the German border, with butterfly valves instead of traditional lock gates. An interesting visit for both nature lovers and technology fans.
