Zirka 58 km hab ich diese Woche schon hier abgelaufen. Nicht alles war gut zu tracken. In den letzten 2 Tagen gab es neben Spaziergängen entlang der Themse noch ausgiebiege Besuche im British Museum, dem Natural History Museum und zum Abschluss heute noch die Tower Bridge.

Heute ging es ab dem London Eye über die Westminster Bridge mit Blick auf Big Ben und Parlament. Weiter zur Westminster Abbey und durch den grünen St. James’s Park,Buckingham Palace bis zum Trafalgar Square. Rückweg über Whitehall mit Regierungsgebäuden zur Themse. Zum Abschluss Stärkung im Wagamama 🤤

Im Rahmen der temporären Freiluftausstellung LUGA - Luxembourg Urban Garden 2025 bespielt die schottische Künstlerin Susan Philipsz (*1965 in Glasgow) den Aquatunnel in Luxemburg mit einer neuen Klanginstallation, die in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Mudam Luxembourg - Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean entstanden ist. Philipsz, die sich auf Installationen spezialisiert hat, die die emotionalen und skulpturalen Dimensionen des Klangs erforschen, hat für diesen einzigartigen unterirdischen Raum ein immersives Werk mit dem Titel The Lower World geschaffen.

Zum Abschluss des Urlaubs noch einmal eine wunderschöne Tour durch die weite Landschaft Westfrieslands. Start und Ziel in Witmarsum, dazwischen kleine Dörfer wie Exmorra, Idsegahuizum und Parrega. Unterwegs: Weite Kanäle, blühende Feldränder, ziehende Wolken und typisch friesische Klappbrücken. Und sogar tierische Begleitung am Wegesrand 🐔🌾🚴♂️
