Good cycle path and close to nature with a chance to see Kingfishers, Beavers, Sand Martins, Green Woodpeckers, various types of Geese and Swans. Early in the morning there is a chance of beautiful landscapes when there is a bit of mist.
Route is not difficult but in the summer sometimes a bit busy with walkers and dogs.

Over a hundred years ago, humans tamed the Regge River. The meandering, capricious river was transformed into a canal. Due to changing circumstances and new insights, the Regge River now meanders through the landscape once again. To prevent agriculture and nature from drying up because the river's water flows too quickly, humans intervene and maintain a constant water level with weirs. This also occurs here, for example, at the Archemn Weir. The threshold in the Regge River determines the minimum water level. Fish can pass the weir via the fish ladder through the adjacent Archemermaten nature reserve.
