Eutin Water Tower

The 38 meter high tower was built in 1909 at the highest point of the city. If you have climbed the 156 steps - the last 53 steps through the water tank with 250,000 liter capacity - you will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the city of roses Eutin and the Holstein Switzerland.

The listed building was completed in 1909. The beautiful, old and 38 m high water tower towers high above Eutin. Anyone who steps out onto the gallery is rewarded with a fascinating all-round view and receives information on small plaques in all directions as to what they can see near and far. From here you can easily see the Baltic Sea or Schleswig-Holstein's highest mountain, but also the lakes and forests of the surrounding Holstein Switzerland.Even the footpath from the city center is just nice: Small stairs, past small craftsmen's houses, then magnificent villas. Then the visitor is greeted by a small but pretty park, which is also idyllic for a picnic. Of course, the most important is the brick-red tower, which widens towards the top and is of course listed and renovated with its ornate cornices, green-glazed roof tiles and crenellated attic. On the steps to the top you can often see interesting exhibitions.
