The beautiful moated castle is located right next to the cycle path. If you cycle towards Aachen, you can even see it from above. It is not certain when it was built, but the succession of owners of Beusdael is fully documented from the beginning of the 14th century to the present. The castle is not open to the public. In 1951, it was transferred to the Liège association “Les colonies scolaires catholiques Liégeoises”, which still owns Beudael today.

Castle Beusdael located in the village of Sippenaeken, surrounded by a moat, consists of three main parts: an imposing 13th-century sandstone tower, 12 meters wide, 28 meters high under the cornice, walls from 1.5 to 2.5 meters at the base and 6 levels , the 16th-century stone and brick main building and finally the late 19th-century neo-Gothic chapel. To enter the castle one crosses a stone bridge with a single arch, rebuilt in 1882.

It was classified on March 29, 1976.
