Bażantarnia is a beautiful forest park located on the edge of the Elbląg Upland, covering 369 ha. The mountain features of this area, slopes covered with a beautiful beech and hornbeam forest, hills, streams, mysterious ravines - all this makes Pażantarnia a favorite resting place for the inhabitants of Elbląg. The marked out trails encourage hiking. Choosing a hike along the Silver Stream valley, we come across the Devil's Stone lying in the bed of the river bed, dropped according to legend by Satan. A trained eye will spot an imprint of a devil's paw on the stone.

Park Bażantarnia is the lungs of Elbląg, beautiful recreational areas that also give you respite in your free time. In the forest and on its outskirts, you can meet roe deer, deer, wild boar and foxes. Birds are the most beautiful group of animals. In the area of Pażantarnia there are oriole, jay, woodpecker, hawk, nightingale and blackbird. Pażantarnia is a suitable place for hiking, horse riding, cycling, and in winter forest paths are perfect for cross-country skiing.

There used to be 7 mills at the Kumiela river. One of the preserved is the Historic Water Mill Complex from the 19th century, located between Bażantarnia and Dolinka Park. It consists of three red brick buildings. Some of the original mill furnishings can still be admired here. The mill operated until the 1970s. Today it houses the Hotel Młyn Aqua SPA. The observation tower offers a view of Góra Chrobry and Pażantarnia. In the vicinity of the mill, there is a historic building of the pre-war Hans Schule, relocated from the old town. Then it housed a library. Today there are hotel rooms and a SPA.

In the buffer zone of the Bażantarnia forest, there is a picturesquely situated Chrobry Mountain, it is worth climbing this peak to admire the beautiful panorama of Elbląg and the surrounding area. In good weather, we will see the waters of the Vistula Lagoon.
