Site of the Höllermühle Mill

Behind the memorial stone is a small parking lot, which is a very good starting point for activities around the "Sophienhöhe".

The Sophienhöhe towers almost 200 meters above the flat Börde landscape. It is almost 600 meters to the brine of the Hambach opencast mine. The “Höller Horn” and “Römerturm” viewpoints are located at the highest points. Because of the favorable thermals, there is a launch site for paragliders on the north-eastern side of the Sophienhöhe.Various vantage points, an extensive network of paths, numerous barbecue huts, two game gates and a playground are the "contact points" for a successful family trip here to Indeland.At the entrance to the car park near Stetternich there are also historical milestones from Roman and Prussian times, which are reminiscent of the former importance of the country road between Aachen and Cologne.
