The Labská Dam was expanded between 1910 and 1914 to protect against flooding. In the 1980s, the bay was spanned by a 120-meter-long road bridge, the highest pier of which is 30 meters high. In 1994, a small hydroelectric power plant with four turbines with a total output of 471 kW was installed in the dam.
