The summit of Ord Hill is the location of an Iron Age fort, neighbouring that at Craig Phadrig over the Beauly Firth. Whilst the summit itself doesn't have the views the hillside is famous for, it's so close to the main viewpoint and such a pleasant forest run, it would be a shame to miss it.

Ord Hill is a small but prominent hill - the summit of a forested ridge with views over Inverness. There are two enjoyable waymarked walking routes on the hill, both of which begin from a car park on the northwest side of the hill.
