The village Wanderup is widely known and appreciated in Schleswig-Holstein as a Christmas village. On the first weekend of Advent there is a big "Christmas mile", which attracted around 30,000 visitors in 2017, for example. The Bürgerpark has since been renamed Wichtelpark, since there the wooden carved Weihnachtswichtel since the year 2008 are set up.
