Hiking
This hike takes you back to the late 19th century, when the Austrian Empress Elisabeth "Sisi" regularly came to Bad Kissingen for spa treatments.
The approximately 3 km circular hike starts at the Arkadensteg in the Kurgarten. From here, it goes up to the viewing plateau of the 284 m high Altenberg.
At the end of the 19th century, the Empress took a brisk walk up here every day during her regular spa stays. In 1907, a monument was erected for her on the Altenberg.
