Königskron was referred to in the past and even today still only as "Pechwies'n". This is very plausible, considering that bad luck was gained there earlier. One of these pitch burners (also called Kiener, see Kienspan) is said to have fallen into such a pitch pit and was thus killed. The pitch pit became his grave. - And popularly one spoke beside the "Pechwies'n also from the" Ka'inersgro ", the grave of the Kieners. The introduction of official spelling probably about 200 years ago, the officials were able to do little with Ka'inersgro, and so it simply made "king crown", because this corresponded approximately to the vernacular pronunciation.Königskron consisted until about 1960 of two inhabited (about six citizens) property, each with very small agriculture. North of the still existing property there was another at the edge of the forest, which was already demolished long ago.Text source: immenreuth.de/rathaus/zahlen-daten/wappen-und-ortsnamen.html
