During World War II, the bunker was part of the 630km-long Siegfried Line offensive.
The type SK / 6a No. 153 bunker was built in 1939.
The 10.7 x 12 meter building, with a wall thickness of 2 meters, was manned by nine soldiers. On the armored dome was an MG08.
After the fighting around the bunker on September 13 and 14, 1944, the Germans withdrew. After that, the Americans used the bunker for a while.
The bunker is currently inaccessible and serves as a refuge for bats.
