Hiking

Seligenstadt's medieval city wall included four gate towers and six ramparts (bulwark towers). Of these, the Steinheimer Gate, built relatively late between 1603 and 1605, is located on the north side of the old town. Three ramparts remain. Just a hundred meters from the Steinheimer Gate, the Kruitturm (powder tower), one of the remaining ramparts, can be seen on the Main River.
