Three groups of bronze figures have recently been decorating the town of Sömmerda
Three groups of bronze sculptures are details worth seeing and experiencing that characterize the image of Marktstrasse, Obermarkt and the entrance to the town park. The sculptor Prof. Wolfgang Dreysse, a native of Sömmerda who now lives in Quedlinburg, developed a concept that envisaged three-dimensional image designs at several locations in the town center. The ancient goddesses Pomona, Fortuna and Minerva each embody a work of art that depicts a piece of the town's history with its buildings and people, with distinctive and identity-creating image objects.
