Dhasa lies at an altitude of 3,550 m and is the first non-permanent settlement when coming down the Julung Khola Valley from the pass Kagmara-La. It is used as a winter settlement of Pungmo further downstream and for the times when the fields are tilled in spring and the harvest is carried out in the late year.
