From Dho Tarap, the valley narrows progressively, turning south-east to south. It's a pleasant trail. The valley is an important trade route from Dunai to the Upper Dolpo Region. In the lower valley areas traders use goats or sheep to carry the load, in the higher valley it is yaks and Zhopa/Chauri. After about two hours walk from Dho Tarap, the valley becomes a gorge with steep rocks or overhanging debris deposits.
