The Caballerizas Reales - Royal Stables - in Córdoba, are a historic site of great cultural and historical importance. They were founded in 1570 by King Philip II, who had a passion for horse breeding and wanted to develop the famous breed of Andalusian horses, Pura Raza Española. The Andalusian horses bred here are still considered one of the noblest horse breeds in the world. Over the centuries, the stables were used not only for horse breeding, but also for military and cultural purposes. In 1929, the complex was declared a National Historic Monument and National Cultural Heritage Site.

Today, visitors can experience spectacular equestrian performances that showcase the skills of the Andalusian horses. The permanent horse show combines art, tradition and the beauty of the animals.

The Caballerizas Reales in Córdoba are historic stables founded in 1570 by King Felipe II. The aim was to create the Pura Raza Española (Andalusian Horse), one of the most prestigious horse breeds in the world. The stables are located on the northern border of the current gardens of the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos.

The stables have a rich history and are still in use today for the rearing of Andalusian horses. They also offer beautiful views of the surrounding gardens and the Alcázar.

They are a set of stables built in 1570 by order of King Philip II in the city of Córdoba, with the aim of breeding purebred Spanish horses, which would be the origin of the so-called Andalusian horse.

Today, they present the spectator with a spectacle that perfectly combines elements of classical and Andalusian horsemanship, handwork, western dressage, haute école, amazon, and pole dancing, connecting the audience with the city's equestrian history and tradition.
