The brewery and cold storage building is an important technical monument, an important urban part of the pre-castle from the second half of the 19th century. and also the only remnant of a brewery founded before 1546. On the facade there is a coat of arms and the dates 1883 and 1889.
Originally, the Renaissance castle brewery was built by Jan Černčický from Kácov sometime before 1546. At the beginning of the 18th century, under Karel Benedikt, Count of Lamberg, the brewery area was greatly expanded. In the second half of the 19th century, further development took place, a distillery, a new malthouse, a cooperage and a brewery fridge were built. The brewery operated until the 1930s, when production ceased. After that, the brewery fell into disrepair and finally, in 1971, most of the area was demolished. The main building was converted into apartments and depreciated. The only building preserved to this day is the brewery fridge and cold room, which has been a cultural monument since 2003. According to the monument catalog, the building was built in 1869. However, the facade is dated 1883 and 1889, which may be the time of later modifications to the building.
