In addition to its own extensive castle park, the friendly town of Kunštát (in Moravia) also boasts a reconstructed Men's Garden. It is located at the foot of what was originally a castle hill and offers a nice view of the local castle. These spaces were left to their fate and subsequent devastation in the 1950s, when the JZD was established nearby. The magnificent modification took place quite recently - in the years 2012 - 14 according to the project of engineer Mikolášek, who devoted five long years to it.
The central Panský rybník, the network of paths on the lower parterre were restored, and the entire French garden saw its resurrection on the upper parterre. Unfortunately, the funds were no longer available to restore the supporting brick wall, so it was just covered with earth and a longitudinal ramp built for its preservation.
Among other things, visitors will be pleased with the fact that they can even cross the surface of a relatively large pond with "dry feet". A long and narrow peninsula extends into its center, and in places decorated with wooden sculptures, a beautiful new wooden footbridge leads to the other shore.
And if tourists are curious about how the numerous waterfowl like the arrangement of the garden, all they have to do is ask.
The ducks, resting on its bank, will surely quack a joyful reply...
