The parish of S. Giorgio is located on the right of the lower course of the Livenza river; it is a hamlet of the municipality of Caorle in the Province of Venice but its church has belonged to the Diocese of Ceneda since its origins. A third of its territory lies in the municipality of San Stino di Livenza. A branch of the ancient Pieve di S. Anastasio, of which it was a succursal chapel since the 15th century or perhaps even since the 14th century, on 17 January 1570 it was aggregated to the closer parish of Torre di Mosto by Bishop Card. Michele Dalla Torre. The old oratory was demolished and a new small church was built, which was declared a curacy on 28 September 1750 until Bishop Giambattista Falier erected it into a parish on 22 August 1796. The eighteenth-century church, with the adjoining rectory and bell tower were demolished in 1926 to allow the raising of the right bank of the Brian canal, to safeguard the reclaimed land.
