Ca Go Adventure 2021 - 9th stage: Pfungstadt to RauenbergThe beautiful weather is back just in time! Fortunately, because I got a little wistful just before the tour finale. Bad weather wouldn't have really helped. 😉Today it goes again along the mountain road with a partly changed route to Heidelberg and finally a few kilometers further to Rauenberg (Wiesloch), where I stayed again in a nice hotel for the last night. After a delicious breakfast, I started my tour again at around 10:00 a.m. Ideal bike weather at 22 degrees, a pleasant breeze and lots of sunshine; the Ca Go driver's heart laughs ♥ ️😄On the first few kilometers past many fields with horses and cows and partly tippi-toppi well-tended fields and meadows.
This time I stayed on the dirt roads to Bensheim below the mountain road. A welcome change and, above all, stress-free and car-free. Then quickly through Bensheim to Heppenheim, where I spontaneously cycled up a hill to the Hessian Vineyard of the Hessian State Wine Estate GmbH. Actually a great location for a tasting and a snack break ... but at that time I was only 21km away ... so only a few photos and a sip from my own bottle! 😝
After Heppenheim then again through the cute wine town of Laudenbach and then back towards Weinheim. On the way there, I drove straight through the town, which didn't really knock me off my feet. For this reason it is more of a small detour. At the Miramar adventure pool, an employee then asked me what was in the front of the box. When I answered "luggage", she looked at me a little incredulously! 😂🤣😂Next stopover ... Heidelberg. Since I couldn't find a location in the city that would appeal to me for a lunch stop, I cycled straight on. A short time later, I found what I was looking for in Rohrbach. “… Illegally tasty” invited you to a successful stop with caffé, pasta, gelato and a very good-humored chef! It's worth it…! 👌🏽

Shortly before the finish line, it shouldn't be my last stop.
In Leimen-St. Ilgen has “Vin Africa” (https: //südafrikanische-weine-online.de), a wine dealer for South African wines, through whom I regularly order wines online.
This time I wanted to drive right by because there is also a vinotheque and wine terrace next to the wine shop. After a nice chat with the owner Barbara Lehr, I of course had to stock up on wine again. But this time there weren't more than 3 bottles; my "trunk" was already very well filled and the last stage to Stuttgart announced another> 1000 vertical meters! 😨 #uff
11km later, I then trundled very satisfied at my stage destination; the Ringhotel Winzerhof (winzerhof.net).
At the end of my tour I wanted to really enjoy myself again before starting the last and at the same time most arduous stage.
I ended the day with a wonderful meal and a delicious cuvée from my own winery "Menges".
      Wonderful! Tomorrow finale, oh ho!
      And please don't forget !!
